Robert Carl "2 dad" Campeau, age 60, of Alma, passed away Monday, August 29, 2011 at his home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 11 am at Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home, Alma with Pastor Bill Brittain of the Trinity Church officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Alma. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6-8pm and Friday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to wishes of the family for donations to local area schools.
Robert was born October 28, 1950 in Alma the son of George and Eloise (Rowling) Campeau. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam and was honorably discharged. Robert worked for Redman Trailers and later as a truck driver for many years at Hoogerland, Alpha Plastics and Jerdens, before being forced to retire due to the effects of the Agent Orange he was exposed to in Vietnam. He was a past member of the Alma VFW and enjoyed fishing and watching sports. He especially loved time spent with his grandchildren and watching them compete in sporting events.
Robert is survived by two daughters, Marcie (Jay) Bovee of Alma, Leisa (Steve) Schworer of Alma, four grandchildren, Morgan and Logan Goddard, Colton and Cody Schworer, step grandchildren, Nick, Courtney (currently serving in the United States Army, Missouri) and McKenzie Bovee, his children’s mother, Patricia "Craige" Blizzard of Alma, five sisters, Patricia (David) Rodriguez of Alma, Sharon Campeau of Alma, Diane Allen of FL, Clara Harnck of Rosebush, Donna (Carl) Goschke of Houghton Lake, a brother, George (Chris) Campeau, Jr. of WA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jackie Ronk.
