Gary L. Brantley

Age 70, of Riverdale, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the Mid-Michigan Medical Center-Alma.

Gary was born October 27, 1941 in Elm Hall to Odis and Rosella (LaPaugh) Brantley Sr. He graduated from Alma High School in 1960 and married his high school sweet heart Colleen Ellis on July 1, 1961 in St. Louis. He worked for Morbark Industries as a service rep and travelled the globe for them before retiring in 1998. He enjoyed hunting and watching football. He loved time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, of 50 years, Colleen of Riverdale, daughters Michelle (Fiancée Kevin Eberhardt) of Mt. Pleasant, Karin (Duane) Keeler of Riverdale, son Rob (Sue) Brantley of St. Louis, 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also brothers, Bill (Sandy), Odis (Sue) Jr., Michael and George Brantley, sisters Linda (Randy) Knowles, Emma (Ron) Akke and many nieces and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bob Brantley and sister Sue Ann Brantley.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 1 pm at the Seville Community Church of God with Pastor George Showers officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 11 am until time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Seville Community Church of God or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home, Riverdale.
