Robert Arthur LaBonville
Age 69, of Middleton, passed away Friday, August 10, 2012 at his home with his family by his side. He was born March 21, 1943 in Alma the son of Adrian E. and Leona V. (Fillhard) LaBonville. Robert served his country in the United States Army being stationed at Fort Campbell, KY, from 1964 until his honorable discharge in 1966. In 1967 Robert married Bette Lou Eicher.
Robert worked as a butcher for 16 years including A and P, IGA and Spartan Stores. In 2005 he retired from Alma Products. Robert played the bass guitar for over 50 years and enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his Honda Goldwing with his brother Joe. He especially loved time spent with his family.
Robert is survived by his wife, Bette Lou LaBonville of Middleton, two daughters, Lisa (Troy) Hooker of Sumner and Kari (Aaron) Carr of Edmore and one grandson, Tanner Hooker. Also a sister, Beverly Chase of Ithaca, a brother, Joe LaBonville of Alma, sister-in-law, Cherolyn (Charles) Sisung of St. Johns and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Arden, his mother and father-in-law, Dorothy and Kendall Eicher and his step-father, Harry Austin.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 11 am at the Lux and Dodge Memorial Chapel with Darin Litwiller officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund or the American Cancer Society.
