Jackie L. Painter

Age 69, of Alma, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Sparrow Clinton Hospital in St. Johns.

Jackie was born January 8, 1943 in Alma the son of Elwin and Nila Painter. He lived in Alma all his life and married Susan DuVall on March 10, 1962. He worked for Alma Products retiring after 32 years of service to the company. Jackie enjoyed hunting and fishing and going to auction and garage sales with his wife. As a young man he raced car # 03 at the Mt. Pleasant Speedway for several years. He also liked to watch Nascar and dirt track racing.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Susan, three sons, Robin of Sumner, Marty (Mel) of Mt. Pleasant and Bryan of Sumner. Three grandchildren, Brandon, Rhea, and Jordan and one great granddaughter, Gabriella. Also seven siblings, Mike, Randy, Mark “Scotty”, Spencer, Pam, Tracy, and Marsha “Tootie”.

Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Janet and brother, Robert “Bobbie”.

Visitation for Jackie will be held Tuesday, October 30th from 6-8pm at Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home, Alma.
