Nicholas is the son of Paul and Beth Lux. He has four children Clark, Margaret, Vincent and Helen. They reside at the Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home in Alma.
Nicholas graduated from Alma High School in 2000 and attended Hope College and Montcalm Community College. He obtained his bachelor degree in Mortuary Science from Wayne State University in 2004. He has worked for Lux Funeral Homes, LLC since that time.
He is a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Alma Elks Lodge #1400, St. Mary's and Mt. Saint Joseph Knights of Columbus, Breckenridge Planning Commission and Breckenridge Area Chamber of Commerce.
Laura is the daughter of Paul and Beth Lux. She graduated from Alma High School in 2001 and went on to Wayne State University with a swimming scholarship to follow her lifelong goal of becoming a funeral director and joining her father in their family business. Laura graduated from Wayne State University in 2004 with a bachelor degree in Mortuary Science and has been working with her father and brother since that time.
Laura married Michael Krebs of Alma in July of 2007 and they have two daughters Evelyn and Lucille. They reside in Alma. She is a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and chair of the Oak Grove Cemetery Advisory Council.
Paul was born in Detroit, Michigan to Charles and Nancy Lux. He moved to Mt. Pleasant with his family in his late teens and worked for his father at Lux Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Paul is married to Beth and they have five children, Nicholas, Laura, Marie, Stephen and Nancy. Shortly after obtaining his degree in Mortuary Science from Wayne State University in 1978, he purchased Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home in Alma, where he has resided ever since. In an effort to provide service to other families in the area, Paul purchased the Lux and Schnepp Funeral Homes in Riverdale, Carson City and Crystal, Dodge Funeral Home in Middleton, Lux and Whiting Funeral Chapel in Breckenridge and Lux Funeral Home in St. Louis. Paul is a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 2966 Servants of the Holy Family, Alma Elks Lodge #1400, The Alma Masonic Lodge, Gratiot Area Chamber of Commerce, Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce and Crystal Area Chamber of Commerce.
Terry J Gachter Jr. is a licensed funeral director and Embalmer. He was born in Carson City Michigan and graduated from Carson City High School in 2000. Terry found his passion in helping families at an early age. So, after high school, he began working in adult foster care homes when he decided to follow his passion and obtained his degree from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in applied Science in 2015.
He has two children, Anahliyah and Terry III, and wife Morgan. They reside at the Lux and Schnepp Funeral home in Carson City. Terry is a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 380. Terry is proud to be serving families in the community he grew up in.
Pastor Brian Wickes grew up in Indiana, moving to Michigan over 40 years ago. He has lived in Alma for the past 40 years and had been serving in Pastoral Ministry for 48 years in the surrounding community.
Brian has been married to his wife, Linda for over 50 years together they raised 4 sons and have 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Brian is grateful to continue serving families with personalized care as a member of the Lux Funeral Homes dedicated team.
Pastor Bob Fall was born and raised in beautiful Alma, Michigan. Upon graduating from Alma High School, he enlisted and served in the United States Air Force. He married his high school sweetheart, Meggin, and together they have three daughters; Isabelle, Carlee, and Reaghan. After completing his enlistment, he and his wife moved back to their hometown of Alma. Pastor Fall then pursued theological education and received his Master of Divinity Degree from Winebrenner Theological Seminary and has been in ministry for over 15 years. He serves on several boards, is the lead pastor of Seville Community Church of God, and serves as Chaplain for various organizations throughout the community. He has a genuine love for people, service, study, teaching, and preaching. He believes that everyone is loved and wants them to know it.
Mark was born in Middleton to C. Maynard and H. Mirna (Dawley) Dodge and grew up in Middleton with his sister, Luanne and his two brothers, Jeff and Greg. He graduated from Fulton High School where he enjoyed playing sports and being a member of the Fulton High School Band.
He has attended five different colleges having finished his education at Wayne State University in Detroit. While studying at Wayne State University in the Mortuary Science program Mark became a teaching assistant in the art of embalming.
He moved back to Middleton and went to work with his father at the Dodge Funeral Home, Dodge Furniture and Southern Gratiot Ambulance Service.
Mark married Rhonda (Brown) Priest on August 3, 1985 and they resided in Middleton, raising three children, Brandi, Cory and Adam. They have given Mark and Rhonda eight grandchildren, which they adore.
On November 1, 1992 he sold the business, Dodge Funeral Home, to Paul Lux. After an illness, Mark and Rhonda moved to Alma so that Rhonda could be closer to her work at Alma Products and so Mark could be closer to the main office. He continues to work at all seven funeral homes, but still enjoys running services out of Middleton most of all. Mark has mentioned many times that he could not work in a better job or with better people.
Sadly Mark passed away in August of 2013 and will be missed for his compassion in serving others.
